Solanum aculeatissimum (Nepali: bhalkanda;  Tamang: bhel). “Pounded roots are applied to treat swelling of the gums and toothaches; powdered  dry fruit also smoked to treat these diseases. Squeezed fruit is applied to the forehead to relieve headaches. Seeds are chewed to treat toothaches and dental caries. Squeezed seeds are applied in cases of headache.”
